1 cup MASECA® corn masa flour
1 cup SELECTA® all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon anise seed
2 teaspoons sugar
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup white wine

Using a mixer, combine MASECA® corn masa flour, salt, anise seeds, and sugar; add SELECTA® all-purpose flour and white wine. Mix until ingredients are well blended. Let rest for 10 minutes.
Divide masa (dough) into 32 balls. Sprinkle a flat surface with flour and roll masa balls into a circle; alternatively, roll out all the masa and use a cookie cutter or knife to make the buñuelos into desired shapes.
Fry buñuelos in hot oil until they inflate like a small pillow. Place buñuelos on a plate lined with absorbent paper towels. To serve, dust with sugar.
