Corn Dogs


  • 1 cup of MASECA® corn masa flour
  • 1 ½ tablespoon of baking powder
  • ¼ cup of parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup of beer
  • ½ cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 12 hot dogs
  • 12 stick skewers
  • Mustard and ketchup
  • Oil for frying


  1. Mix MASECA® corn masa flour with baking powder, beer, parsley, milk, and salt until batter has a similar texture as pancake batter. If dry, add milk in teaspoon increments.
  2. Insert stick skewers in the hot dogs and dip in the liquid batter until completely covered.
  3. Fry in hot oil until golden brown. Remove from heat and drain excess oil. Serve with mustard and ketchup.
